The eight selected local picture book illustrators will attend the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy and the Beijing International Book Expo, and discuss cooperation with publishers and peers from around the world.
Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF)
- Date: 8 – 11 Apr 2024
- For 59 years BCBF has been the event in the children’s publishing industry. Over 1,400 exhibitors and around 30,000 professional visitors flock to the event each spring to experience the world of children’s books, illustration and multimedia content. Hong Kong pavilion has been setting up at BCBF since 2014 (suspended in 2020 to 2022 due to pandemic and resumed in 2023).

Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF)
- Date: 19 – 23 June 2024
- BIBF has become the second largest book fair in the world, the most influential book exhibition platform in China and the most international book fair in Asia. It attracts more than 2,600 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and regions every year. It has a Picture Book Exhibition, the largest of its type in Asia, which attracts over 70,000 visitors each year. Hong Kong pavilion has been setting up at BIBF in 2011 to 2014 and 2018 to 2019 (suspended in 2020 to 2023 due to pandemic).
